My favourite place was the area called "Petite France": there, I found the Christmas decorations nicer, glühwein was less expensive, and bredele, those traditional Alsatian Chritsmas biscuits, definitely very tasty.

Strasbourg (France)
Nearly 200 kilometers from Luxembourg, you'll find Strasbourg, a pretty town of Alsace. Snow added to the magical atmosphere of Christmas.
